Designing For Change, Shaping the Future

Empowering the world’s youth is perhaps our greatest chance of actually enacting lasting change upon our cultural landscape.  However, before we can hope for young people to change the world, we first need to help those young people begin to think about the world and how we live in it.  That is exactly the aim of Make Shape Change.

Make Shape Change, according to it’s website, “is a project to get young people thinking about how the world is made around them and where design fits in.  At its heart is a short film that shows changes happening before our eyes that we might not normally notice, and how these affect us.  The project was commissioned by Pivot Dublin to promote wider acceptance and use of design as a tool for positive change.”

Aesthetically appealing and simple to navigate, the website includes pages that explain clips from the video, engaging the viewer more actively in thinking about both the history and the future of design.  Each page includes examples and history, and it creates and interactive experience for the user.  Honestly, this is a project that could prove invaluable for people across the age spectrum.
