Image File Types Explained: Why a JPEG Isn’t Enough

So why can’t your designer just give you a JPEG? While a quality JPEG and PNG should be part of the package you receive, they just aren’t enough – and they aren’t enough for designers, either. While you might appreciate having a JPEG image file type to stick where you’d like – and by all means, you should! – having the vector files will make all the difference if you ever decide your image needs an update.  Here is a handy infographic that gives you an idea of the importance of image file types and why we care so much about which ones you get.
