What we do

We are Logoworks, and are an online graphic design agency based in North Carolina, but work with clients all over the globe. We work with hand picked designers from all around who consistently strive to produce high quality designs for our clients. In the 23 years since we’ve opened our doors, we’ve produced over 300,000 logos for 80,000+ happy customers, but we’re only just getting started.

Don’t let our name fool you. Even though our name is synonymous with logos, we’re a full scale design firm and can help you with anything from logos to infographics to brochures and everything in-between. Click here to see a the core list of what we do.

Our History

Like most startups, Logoworks was formed out of frustration with the status quo. Our journey began when our founder, Morgan Lynch (then the Head of Marketing at a software company in Utah) was tasked with getting a new logo.

After three sets of revisions, each of which cost more time and money, including lengthy travel times to the agency, Morgan hired a freelance designer. The freelancer was closer to his vision, but still off base. Morgan asked the design agency to use the freelancer’s work as a base, for which he was charged additional fees. Two months and thousands of dollars later, Morgan had spent too much time and money for a logo he considered mediocre, and he was out of time and budget.

Morgan realized there had to be a better way, so he left his marketing role and started Logoworks.

In 2005, Logoworks received $9.3M in funding from big players in Silicon Valley, including Shasta Ventures, Benchmark Capital, Excel Partners, and Highway 12, among others.

In 2007, Logoworks was acquired by Hewlett-Packard and was integrated into the Snapfish portfolio, alongside our former sister companies Logomaker and Marketsplash.

Despite 4 years of strong financial performance, HP decided to strategically focus on technology instead of services. HP sold Logoworks to The Old Slip Group, a private equity firm focused on growth.

Logoworks engineers have been very busy for the past year designing and building some really cool technologies that will make the design process easier, more collaborative, faster, and just plain smoother. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to revolutionize the design world.
