General

Absolutely not. We have a community of designers, which have an average of 10+ years experience in logo and branding design for small businesses and brands.

We assign projects based on that individual designer’s expertise. For instance, one designer might be really good at sports mascots whereas another is really good at floral logos.

Our Project Managers are experts at making sure to pick the right designer for the right job.

Yes. Every single design package we offer comes with a dedicated project manager, a real, live, human who’s based in the US, is friendly, and is an expert in all things design.

We don’t do phone trees here at Logoworks, and your Project Manager will be your primary point of contact for any question, big or small.

At Logoworks, we are 100% against spec, or speculative, work.

We believe it is unethical to ask designers to submit work in mere hopes of getting paid. That’s why all of our designers at Logoworks receive a fair wage for work they submit.

We’re based in New Bern, NC. North Carolinas first capital and about 25 minutes down the road from the Crystal Coast, Atlantic Ocean.

About half of our designer live in the US, and we also have designers in other countries, including Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and New Zealand, to name a few.

No.

While our designers are technically freelancers, each one is hand-vetted by our Creative Director. Each of our designer applicants goes through a rigorous interview and on-boarding process, and only the best applicants (top 5%) are invited to join our community.

3 business days. Other places make you pay more to “rush” your order, but at Logoworks, we’ll always deliver your initial concepts in just three business days.

We want you to be able to actually use your designs, so we’ll give you your design files in everything you need, including…

  • Raw Vector (AI and EPS)
  • PNG
  • JPG
  • TIF
  • PDF

If you need it in another format not listed above, we’re glad to help. Just ask.

We’ll start off by giving you multiple design concepts. Keep in mind that the design process is highly iterative and collaborative, so we send you the initial designs, we’ll ask for your feedback to make the designs even better.

Usually, our clients ask us to tweak colors, fonts and layout. Sometimes, they even ask us to combine the top half of one concept with the bottom half of another.

Whatever the revision, big or small, we’ll continue to revise your design until it’s absolutely perfect.

If you select a design package that includes printing, then you’re covered. Don’t worry, if you pick a package without printing, we can always add it on later.

Yes. We hate it when companies secretly add on extra charges like shipping. At Logoworks, the price you see is the final price for your designs, printed and delivered to your door.

Of course not. But we sure hope that we wow you so much with our service that you’ll choose to print with us.

If you’d prefer a local printer, that’s OK too. We’ll give you the design files in all of the industry-standard formats, so you can print anywhere.

For business cards, you have your choice of three paper types:

  • 120#, 14pt, Glossy (super shiny, heavyweight cardstock)
  • 120#, 14pt, Dull-Matte (Our favorite, because it has an ever-so-slight sheen, and is a nice heavyweight cardstock
  • 100# 12pt, Uncoated (A no-frills, standard weight stock)

For Letterhead, we print on Hammermill 70# Lustre – An absolutely beautiful paperstock that performs well in both Laser and Inkjet printers.

Of course! All our standard packages include design, coding, and integration onto your server or hosting platform.

We don’t but we recommend using BlueHost or GoDaddy to bring you reliable, inexpensive hosting. Just make sure to choose hosting that includes an SSL Certificate, so your site can be an HTTPS secure site.

We use WordPress as our de facto CMS of choice here at Logoworks.

Not anymore. Back in the early 2000s, WordPress was just a blog platform. Today, it has grown to become a full enterprise solution that’s easy to use and easy to update.

WordPress is actually used for the websites of dozens of well-known companies, including the NY Times, UPS, Forbes, and of course Logoworks.

We ask you to go through checkout immediately after you fill out your creative brief, and before we begin designing.
